Online registration open for Taylor County Fair Exhibitors

TAYLOR COUNTY—It’s fair time and now is the time to get your exhibits registered for this year’s event.

According to West Virginia University Extension Agent John Murray, registering will take place at the Taylor County Fair Grounds on Monday, July 25 from 4:00-8:00 p.m., however for a quicker check in, individuals may utilize a virtual registration option.

“We will once again be offering online registration through Fair Entry,” said Murray. “By going ahead and inputting information there, it will greatly reduce the time at check-ins on Monday, because it will allow us to have pre-printed information for registries.”

Whether its agricultural produce, food items, fine arts and crafts or flowers and needlework, there is a place for everyone at the Taylor County Fair.

“We accept a wide variety of exhibits,” Murry disclosed. “However, we do not accept antiques as entries.”

And registering your fair entries couldn’t be easier when you visit taylorcountyfair.fairentry.com, but those utilizing this option must do so by Sunday, July 24.

When exhibitors first go to the website, they will need to create an account. Once an account has been created, participants will then register exhibitors.

Multiple exhibitors can be registered within each account.

When registering exhibitors there is a question concerning their birthdate that is marked as optional. This is required with Jr. Livestock members for showmanship but not needed for anybody else.

After creating their account, participants will then need to register their exhibits, by inputting the fair, the department, the division and the class of each entry.

After everything has been entered, all that is left to do is submit the entries, with a simple click of the mouse.

Upon completion, a fair manager will double check your entry and approve it.

If you have any questions or issues, you can call the Extension Office at 304-265-3303, and staffers will be ready to help.

Murray would also like to remind those that are exhibiting produce, foods, fine arts and crafts, needlework and flowers, they will be eligible to win the Premier Exhibitor Award for their respective Department, which is $25 and a Rosette.

The Premier Exhibitor Award will be given to the exhibitor receiving the greatest number of first places in their respective departments.
