One fatality in Wednesday wreck

TAYLOR COUNTY- On Wednesday, a two vehicle accident  claimed the life of one person.

The accident was called in to Harrison/Taylor 911 on Wednesday, September 25, at approximately 2:44 p.m.

According to 911 Officials and Taylor County Sheriff, Terry Austin A 2002 Chevy truck traveling West bound in front of the Taylor County Fairgrounds on George Washington Hwy was hit by an oncoming 2015 Ford truck traveling East bound.

The 2002 Chevy truck was occupied by two individuals.

The driver of the 2002 Chevy truck was identified as Robert Lee Rucker 59,  of Taylor County and a two-year-old female child.

When emergency responders arrived the driver, Rucker was deceased on scene. The two-year-old female was transported to Grafton City Hospital by the Taylor County Emergency Squad.

The 2015 Ford truck headed East bound was occupied by one individual Ryan J. Denney 49, and he was life flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Along with Taylor County EMS the Taylor County Graton Fire Department Responded, along with Taylor County Police, Flemington Fire and EMS, as well as the  State Police.

The accident is still under investigation at this time by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department.
