GRAFTON—Out with old in with new, a great hometown store is coming to Grafton, that will be offering jobs and brands the community will love.

Goody’s Department Store located at 1 Harman Ave, will soon be converting to a Gordmans Department Store.

Last year, it was announced the Goody’s Department in Grafton would be closing their doors, but thanks to the community the store will soon be a Gordmans Department Store.

In October, the staff at Goody’s, Kim Tressler, Melissa Stewart, Teresa Miller, Jerome Nice, Carla Lowe and Manager Shirley Gibson were celebrating the big changes that were coming.

Gibson expressed that she would like to thank the community for their continued support and revealed that the store will not be shutting down but will become a Gordmans in the spring.

“We cannot thank the community enough for their support and phone calls to keep the store opened,” she commented. “We are excited for the new store opening and continuing to be here in the community.”

According to a press release, the apparel and home décor retailer will open locations throughout the state in St. Albans, Buckhannon, Elkins, Grafton, Lewisburg, Logan, Moundsville, New Martinsville and Summersville. These are the first Gordmans stores to come to West Virginia.
