Muscle Car Mania invades AJES

GRAFTON—Muscle Car Mania Cruise-in and Kindergarten Bookshelf Dedication took place Tuesday, at Anna Jarvis Elementary School.

Muscle Car Mania took place from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Students and families came out to see new and antique cars, as well as emergency vehicles.

Students had the opportunity to solve age-appropriate math problems to incorporate learning into the event, and watch the Disney movie Cars in the gym room.

Anna Jarvis Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) sold food at the event. PTO Secetary Kelbi Harman shared that the turnout for the event was good, and around 150 people attended.

“We want to thank all the families for coming to enjoy the annual event, and support the school,” said Harman

Harman shared that this is her first year planning the event, and she already has ideas for next year, to continue to make the event better for the community.

Harman wanted thank Toothman Ford for bringing two cars to the event, as well as Jim Bollinger from Big Boy Toys Car Club for bringing cars. The Grafton Fire Department brought a fire truck.

“We appreciate everyone that helped with the event,” said Harman

In addition, kindergarten students were able to pick up their bookshelves that they painted during Bookshelf Night, as well as three new books. Students that did not participate in the Bookshelf Night still received a bookshelf and three new books.
