Muscle Car Mania drives into AJES and draws in a crowd


GRAFTON— Muscle Car Mania brought a day of fun for the community at Anna Jarvis Elementary School.

The event was held Saturday, and featured old and new cars, bounce houses, crafters and vendors.

In addition, a meet and greet with Peppa Pig, Lego Batman and the Paw Patrol crew, provided by Magical Memories, was held.

Parent Teacher Organization President Kelbi Harman shared that throughout the day approximately 500 people came out to enjoy the event. The event had 32 cars and two motorcycles.

“I would like to thank the community for coming out and supporting the school,” she expressed.

PTO Treasurer Zane Cartwright shared that the PTO would like to thank Freedom KIA of Clarksburg for sponsoring the trophies to the winners. They would like to also thank all the volunteers, crafters, vendors and the drivers for coming.

Trophies were awarded to Best of Show, for both cars and motorcycles. Kid’s Choice Award, as well as a Principal’s Choice Award were given out also.

Principal’s Choice was awarded to Michael Bolliger for his car, and Roger Cogar received a trophy for his motorcycle.

The Kid’s Choice car was awarded to Dave Sinclair, and Keith Wilson for his motorcycle.

Best of Show was awarded to Terry and Mary Gabbert for their car, and Keith Wilson for his motorcycle.

Principal Heather Gunderson expressed, “We are very pleased with the turnout. Kelbi Harman and the PTO did a great job putting the event together.”

More events are planned throughout the year, including a Dad work day on Saturday, September 30, at 9:00 a.m. During the day, cleaning, painting and weeding will be done. For more information contact PTO Treasurer Zane Cartwright at 304-265-4090.
