Michael Lynn Anderson, 62, of Newburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at his home.
He was born in Taylor County, WV a son of the late Robert Anderson and Frankie (Efaw) Anderson.
Mike was very passionate about playing drums, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he dearly loved. His other hobbies included camping, fishing, hiking and hanging out by a good campfire with friends.
Anyone that knew Mike knew him for his big heart, his gift of gab and his non-judgmental attitude. It is so very hard to articulate how much he meant to close family and friends, and how he will be missed.
He is survived by two children: Catrina Anderson of Brownsville, PA and Teresa Anderson of Grafton, WV. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Brandon, Harley, Mikayla, Emma and Evie; brothers, Joey Anderson (Jeanine) of Canvas, WV; Ron Childers (Kitty) of Pruntytown, WV; Ric Anderson (Tracy) of Elizabeth City, NC; Tim Anderson of Center Point, WV; and Jamie Anderson of Moundsville, WV; and one sister, Christy Nicholson (Rusty) of Center Point, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael J. Anderson.
Mike felt that you weren’t human if you didn’t have a love for animals. He leaves behind his loyal dog Beethoven.
The family asks that you come and celebrate Mike’s life at Valley Falls, 5487 Country Club Road, on Saturday, February 29 from 4:00–8:00 p.m.
