Mary Louise Hovatter, age 88, of Barrett Street, Grafton, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Rosewood Health Care Center.
She was born July 31, 1929, in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Howe R. and Elmira (Allender) Knotts.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol A. Hovatter at home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odbert L. “John” Hovatter; three sisters, Elmira Morris, Glenice Marek, and Eva Knotts; and one brother, Elbert Guy Knotts.
Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1948 and was a retired assembler and molder from Baby World. She was member of the Naomi Chapter 12 O.E.S. and a member of the Haymond United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, February 24, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., and from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with Lay Minister James Arnold officiating.
Interment will follow at the Knottsville Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at the funeral home by the Naomi Chapter 12 O.E.S at 7:00 p.m., Saturday.
