WEST UNION —The Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) Lady Knights volleyball program would travel to West Union to take on the Doddridge County Middle School Lady Bulldogs Monday evening, in matches that proved to be tough battles.
The JV would take the floor first in a close battle throughout both sets, as the first set score would be the Lady Bulldogs 25 and the Lady Knights 21.
The second set for the JV Lady Knights would find a much closer game, with a fierce back-and-forth for the score to settle in with the final 25-23 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs.
The Taylor County Varsity squad would be playing this game without most of their starters due to COVID quarantine regulations, which brings about many challenges on its own.
Despite entering the contest without all of their starting line, the Lady Knights put up a good fight, but were unable to hang on.
Taylor County iltimatley dropped the first set 25-12.
Determinded to come back, the second set saw mich improvement from the Lady Knights.
Although improvements and adjustments were made, it would not be enough to overcome the Lady Bulldogs and TCMS would fall with a final score of 25-18.
The Lady Knights will be back in full swing with all starters this week, as they will travel to face Buckhannan today, Wednesday, October 6.
