PRUNTYTOWN—The Taylor County Middle School Lady Knights played their final home game of the 2018 season last week against the Hawks of Belington Middle School.
The Lady Knights dominated their competition throughout the contest as they cruise to a 36—15 victory.
Neither team lit up the board in the first half as a score at halftime was Taylor County 12 Belington 3.
Both teams came out inspired in the second half as the Lady Knights outscored the Hawks 9—8 in the third quarter and it was all Taylor County in the fourth quarter, as they outscored the Hawks 15—4 to record another win.
‘The Lady Knights leading scorer was Alyssa Satterfield with 10 points, followed by Meredith Maier and Madison Mayle with eight points apiece.
The rest of the Lady Knight points came from Frederique Maloley (5) and Sydney Friend (5).
In JV action, the Knights fell to the Hawks 28—26.
The Lady Knights were led by Leah Jackson with 11 points.
The remaining points in the score book were recorded by Kambree Delaney (6), Jordan Niggamyer (4), Elizabeth Uhl (3) and Kailiegh Spiker (2).
Earlier in the week the JV Knights battled the varsity team from Morgantown Christian Academy. The Knights played hard but fell to Morgantown 28—26.
The leading score for the Lady Knights was Delaney with eight, followed by Ally Mayle (6), Elizabeth Uhl (6), Eva Jones (5) and Garrah Lindsey (1).
