Lady Cats season comes to an end

Cats eliminated from sectional play, after falling to the Frankfort Falcons 76­—44

FRANKFORT—The Grafton High School girls basketball team’s season came to end, last Monday night, at the hands of the Frankfort Lady Falcons.

The Bearcats played the Falcons close in the first half however, the Falcons pulled away in the second, to cruise away with a 76 to 44 win.

This game eliminated the Lady Bearcats from sectional play.

The Cats found themselves keeping up with the Falcons during the first quarter, as the Cats were only outscored 17 to 14.

In the second, the Falcons extended the lead, going to the locker-room with , 39 to 24 lead at the break.

In the final two periods, the Falcons managed to outscored the Lady Cats, 37 to 20.

Ally Peters, led the Lady Cats attack, with 17 points, followed by teammate, Bronlie Jacobs with 13 points of her own.

The remaining Bearcats in the scoring column included, Megan Kisner (1), Brooklyn Teeple (4), Bailey Toothman (4), Hanna Taylor (1) and Jocelyn Countryman (4).

The year-end stats, for the Lady Bearcats, will be featured, in an upcoming edition of the Mountain Statesman.
