GRAFTON—The Grafton High School girls basketball team was once again on the winning side of the scoreboard ,Wednesday night, as they upended Liberty 44 to 27.
The Lady Cats scored 20 points in the second quarter, and never looked back, on their way to another win.
The Lady Cats could not get any offense going in the first quarter, as they found themselves down 13 to 5, but the Cats rebounded in the second quarter to take a 25 to 17 lead at the half.
In the second half the Cats put it on cruise control, as all of the players saw action on the floor.
Ally Peters lead the Lady Cats with 15 points, followed by Megan Kisner with nine points.
The remaining Cats in the scoring column were, Brooklyn Teeple (2), Hanna Taylor (6), Jocelyn Countryman (5), Tiffany Bolyard (4), Haileigh Cook (1) and Bailey Toothman (2).
The Lady Cats were also in action, last Saturday as they fell to Weir 46 to 33.
The Lady Cats leading scorer was Peters with 16, followed by Teeple with nine.
The rest of the points came from Countryman (2), Bolyard (4) and Kisner (2).
The Lady Bearcats will be action tonight, as they host Berkeley Springs, at Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
