GRAFTON—The Grafton High School girls soccer team (8-8-2) played host to Lincoln last Tuesday night, in what was the last home game for the senior girls. The Lady Cats dominated play all night and ended up on the greater side of a 9—0 victory.
The Cats scored early and often, as they managed a total of five goals in the first half. The first goal was scored by Rachel McKinney off the assist by Ally Peters. Peters then score the next two goals for GHS to give them a 3 —0 lead. The next two goals were scored by Josie Gras, with Jocelyn Countryman and Kadie Dunham providing the assists.
In the second half, Kaycie Cochran turned on the scoring with the next two goals. Morgan Griffith provided the assist on the first Cochran goal. Emily Knotts was the next Lady Cat to get on the board, with under five minutes to play.
The final goal of the contest was scored by Chloe Collins off the assist from Madie Summers.
Katie Grinnan, Natalie Weber and Bailey Toothman were all in goal for the Cats as they combined for three saves in the contest.
“It was an awesome night for our seniors,” said head coach Lorraine Isner. “I’m very happy for them and very thankful to an amazing group of senior parents. Everyone contributed to the win and we had a great team effort. We are looking forward to our game on Thursday.”

The girls were back in action last night at Liberty, and will begin sectional play next week. The dates and times will be available as soon as they become available.
