Knights of Columbus extend a helping hand to Shaw family

GRAFTON—The community continues to rally around the Shaw family, who lost everything they owned in a house fire this past summer, with various fundraisers and other assistance they can provide.

This time, it is the Knights of Columbus offering a helping hand to the Shaws with a fundraiser of their own.

The organization is known for their fresh made donut sales that occur once monthly, but the Knights are firing up their fryers for a special sale, and all proceeds will be donated to Clint and Olivia Shaw.

The organization will be offering up delicious donuts by the dozen decked out with classic flavors and fun toppings including chocolate icing, vanilla icing, maple icing, cinnamon sugar, coconut and maple bacon.

In addition, they will also be making chocolate donuts with chocolate icing and chocolate donuts with vanilla icing. And of course, as always, they will provide plain donuts to customers as well.

Dozens will be sold for $10 each, and individuals may choose their flavor of choice or opt for a mixed arrangement.

Freshly made donuts will be distributed on Friday, October 15 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 16 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus House, located next to Anna Jarvis Elementary School.

However, orders will be taken differently than normal, as the Knights of Columbus are requesting that pre-orders be submitted.

Those wishing to purchase donuts may text their order to 304-506-2004. Texted orders must contain the customer’s name, date of pickup, time of pickup, and the order itself.

Individuals may also use the QR code shown to access a form on their smartphone.

So, what are you waiting for? Hurry and order your freshly made donuts and help support a local family in need.
