Knights host Hornets in first home game of the season

GRAFTON—The Taylor County Middle School boys soccer team finally played their first home regular season contest last Tuesday, as they hosted East Fairmont at McKinney Field. The Knights scored early and never looked back as they cruise to a 5—0 victory.

The Knights goals were scored by MJ Niggemyer, Levi Miller, Justin Gainer, Colton Sanders and Layne England. No assists were credited with these goals.

The TCMS shots were credited to Isaac Lough, Jude Minard, Niggemyer, Sanders (2), Garin Chambers (2), Landen Hulley, England (4), Levi Miller (2) and Gainer.

The defense was led by Hulley as he recorded six steals in the contest.

The remaining steals were recorded by Stratten Wooddell (2), Niggemyer, England, Treyson Nose, Levi Miller, Chambers and Lough.

In goal for the Knights was Brayden Palmer. Palmer threw another shutout at the Hornets and collected three saves in the contest.

The Knights will be back in action this Tuesday, as they will host Buckhannon Middle School.

The girls will play at 6:00 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
