Knights fall to Bulldogs


PHILIPPI—The Taylor County Middle School boys basketball team was back on the road on Thursday night, when they traveled to Philippi.

The Knights came out slow and fell behind early to the Bulldogs.

The Knight offense could not get going until the fourth quarter, but by then, it was too late, and the Bulldogs would go on to win 52—44.

Bryson Bish was the top scorer for TCMS with 14 points in the game.

The remaining points came from JT Veltri (12), Cole Mooney (8), Jacob Maier (4), Mason Dunham (3), Ben Louzy (2) and Harrison Maier (1).

In the JV contest, the Knights had a little more action, and defeated the Dogs 43—15.

The TCMS points were scored by Isaiah Vanscoy (15), Dustin Keener (5), Kenny Humphries (5), Adrian Joyce (5), Alex Hess (4), Cody Cook (3), Garrett Hudson (2), Austin Mayle (2) and McCray Blackwell (2).

The Knights were back in action on Tuesday, when they traveled to Lincoln.
