Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins.
Pagliughi, who graduated from Grafton High School in 2005, started doing Muay Thai in 2010 as a way get back into shape, while looking for a fun way to exercise. After her first class she was hooked and six months later she started sparring and decided to try fighting.
“This sport has done so much for me,” Pagliughi said. “I’ve learned many things about myself not only as a fighter but as a person.
