GRAFTON—The Taylor County Base Invaders 10U Girls Softball teams took home the victory against a tough Bridgeport Lady Braves Team.
The first inning would see the Base Invaders take a substantial lead and never look back the rest of the game.
The first inning started with the Base Invaders scoring five runs with all the girls at the top of the lineup scoring.
The rest of the game would be much of the same as the Base Invaders Braelynn Jones held the Lady Braves to just two runs the entire game, as the Base Invaders easily win this one with a final score of 10-2.
“Anytime we can pick up a win against Bridgeport it’s a plus. These girls play hard and have improved so much. I want to remind our girls to maintain control of their bats after the get a hit. We had an incident of a girl being called out due to warnings from the umpire. Other than that mishap, I couldn’t be happier with the way these girls play. I am blessed to be their coach,” Head Coach Julie Dowdy expressed.
The 10U Base Invaders will try to keep their winning streak going May the 16 against Shinnston at home.
