James Cecil Malone, 89 of Grafton, passed away, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Rosewood Nursing Home with his family by his side. He was born in Grafton August 21, 1928, a son of the late Ralph and Marie Curry Malone.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Marie Reneman Malone. They were united in marriage June 30, 1963.
He was a printer at the Dominion Post for twenty nine years, loved the outdoors, the most important thing in his life was his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, there isn’t enough words to describe how wonderful he was, “Only he was Our Pap”
James is survived by one son, Larry Malone and wife Jenny of Grafton; three granddaughters, Adrianne Stull, Maria Campbell and husband Derrick, Ashley Smith and husband Wes, one grandson, Bradley Malone and wife Ashlee, eight great grandsons, and one great granddaughter; step grandchildren, Michael Reed and Kimmy Croy; four step great grandchildren; sister-in-law Margaret Ady and husband Fred, Georgetown, SC, two brother-in-law’s, Bill Reneman and wife Sue, Lincoln, NC, Joe Reneman and wife Vonda, Grafton, one sister-in-law Mary Malone Grafton, niece, Lisa Ford and husband Jeff, Bridgeport, nephew, Robert Malone and wife Marsha.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Jean Malone Lambert, two brothers, Ralph Malone, Jr. and Robert Malone
