GRAFTON—All right voters, it is that time of year again when individuals begin learning a little more about the candidates running for office, and one local organization is doing its part to help out.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3081, located at 225 West Main Street, Grafton, will be hosting a Meet Your Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 16, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Voters, now is the time to get those questions answered, as the organization is allowing residents of the county to seek information about the candidates, so that an informed decision can be made before the General Election on November 6.
All candidates running for office at the state and local level are invited to attend. If the candidate themselves cannot appear, they may send a representative in their place.
“This year, Magistrate Robert Bolton will be our moderator for the event,” shared Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary President Brenda Thompson. “He will be on hand to help explain the amendment that is on the ballot.”
The forum will be conducted in a question and answer format. Those wishing to ask questions are asked to be courteous of the others in attendance, so that the candidates may answer as many questions as possible.
This event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
“This will be an excelled opportunity to educate yourself before you go vote,” expressed Thompson. “We hope to see you there!”
