Iowina Fuller, 91, of Galloway, WV, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at the United Hospital Center.
She was born on April 21, 1925, in Brownton, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ettie (Reed) Cleavenger.
Ms. Fuller is survived by one daughter, Beverly Watkins and husband, Robert, of Woodbridge, VA; one sister, Geneieve Norris, of Ravenswood; two grandchildren: Adrian Watkins and wife, Jennifer, of Richmond, VA and their children Aidan and Blake; and Stacey Watkins, of Woodbridge, VA.
In addition to her parents, Iowina was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Martin and one grandson, Nolan Watkins.
Iowina was a graduate of Philippi High School and worked as a nurse’s aide for 30 years at the Broaddus Hospital. When she was able she enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking, and baking. She attended the Victory Valley Church and was very outgoing and a people person who never met a stranger, in fact most knew her as “Grandma or Nana.” She loved to crochet and sew, and poured her love into everything she made, often giving her creations away to others. “Nana” loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. A heartfelt thank you to her neighbors Bertha and John Montgomery for their loving care.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Victory Valley Church, friends and family will begin gathering at 6:00 p.m.
