GRAFTON— The Taylor County Base Invaders 10U Girls Softball teams took home the victory in a pair of games this week.
The first game would pit the Base Invaders against Tucker county. Which would see almost every girl in the lineup securing a base hit in the matchup. As the Base Invaders would easily take this game with a final score of 11-4.
“These girls are playing well and improving week over week. I am excited to watch them grow as ball players. If these girls stay together and play as a team like they have been doing, by the time they reach the high school level they will be something else.” Head Coach Julie Dowdy expressed.
The second game would see a somewhat closer game against Shinnston in Harrison County. As they would once again have each girl in the lineup getting a base hit to finish the game with a final score of 9-4. “These girls’ bats have just come alive in the last couple of games. They are seeing the ball very well and waiting on their pitch to hit. I couldn’t be more impressed with the way we are playing now.” Said head coach Julie Dowdy.
The 10U Base Invaders will try to keep their winning streak going May the 9 against Gilmer county at home.
