MORGANTOWN—Grafton High School standout and 2017 WV State Champion Noah Hodges has been busy this spring sharing his wrestling skills in area tournaments.

On April 28th took his championship skills to the Henry Miller Open at University High School in Morgantown. This event hosts some of the finest wrestling in the mid-Atlantic.

There were wrestlers there from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and North Carolina.

Hodges wrestled in the 126 pound class in this event as he wrestled in the 113 pound class at GHS last season.

Hodges was the number one seed in his nine man bracket. He won his first match with a pin in the first period and then went the distance in his second match but came away with a 6 to 0 decision.

In the final match of the contest, Hodges scored a technical fall against a wrestler from Maryland (18-3). With that win Hodges locked down his first place finish.
