Greyhounds clean up their community

FLEMINGTON—One local 4-H group takes part in various activities throughout the year, and recently, the group made their wait to an area post office to help enhance the look of the area.

Last week the members of the Flemington Greyhounds 4-H Club came out to beautify their community.

Members met at the Flemington Post Office and spent the day cleaning up around the outside of the post office. They picked up trash and planted flowers to bring some shine to the area.

4-H members frequently do community projects to improve and serve their community, including cleanups, collecting donations for the Taylor County Humane Society and performing Christmas Carols for residents at local nursing homes.

The group can also be seen taking part in the various parades held within the community.

The Flemington Greyhounds 4-H Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., at the Flemington EMS building. Their next meeting will be next Thursday, June 20.

Anyone wishing to join the group is encouraged to attend their meeting.

How! How! Greyhounds.
