GRAFTON—The Grafton Post 12 American Legion team played host to Preston on Tuesday night, at Upton Field, on the campus of Grafton High School.
The Post 12 pitchers had trouble finding the strike zone against Preston throughout the entire game.
Preston took advantage on the base paths, as they scored seven runs in a row in the third inning, then added one more for an eight run inning.
When the dust finally settled, Post 12 found themselves on the low end of a 16—5 score.
TJ Summers led the way for Post 12 with two hits in the five-inning shortened game.
The remaining hits were recorded by Chase Setler, who hit his third home run on the season, Garrett Moats and Joey Dingledein.
The Post 12 runs were scored by Summers, Setler, Moats, Mark Irvine and James Hoskins.
Chase Setler got the start on the hill for Post 12.
The boys will be back in action tonight, as they will face Morgantown Post 2 at 7:00 p.m. The game will take place at Grafton High School.
