Grafton High Tennis takes on BUHS and BHS

BUCKHANNON—The Grafton High School tennis team headed out on the road Monday night, as they traveled to Buckhannon to take on the Bucs. The boys won a hard fought contest 4 to 3 while the girls team fell to the Lady Bucs 7-0.

In the individual matches, the Grafton wins came from Emilien Brazilier (8-0) and Tanner Taylor (8-3).

In the doubles matches the team of Brazilier and Marik Chambers won 8-5 and the team of Aiden Kittle and Jaylen Poole won 8-4.

On Tuesday night, the tennis team returned to the GHS tennis courts to host Bridgeport.

In the team competition, the GHS boys lost 4-3 and the girls lost 7-0.

Brazilier continued to win as he defeated his opponent 8-4 and Chambers took care of business and won 8-3.

Brazilier and Chambers would team-up once again in doubles to defeat the top Bridgeport doubles team 9-7.

The tennis teams will be back in action tonight a Lincoln with the matches starting at 4:30 p.m.
