GRAFTON—The Grafton Bearcats wrestling team took part in a quad match at Doddridge County High School on Saturday and the results are listed below.
GHS head coach Keith Zebley provided his thoughts on the season so far and his outlook on the rest of the 2021 campaign.
“We have wrestled well so far, but are probably behind on where we should be,” explained Zebley. “It was hard to get started with an on again/off again season, and then the now-late shortened season has been tough on the kids to adjust to these different times we are in. We started out the season with several kids hurt, but when we have them back in the lineup, that will help out a lot. We have 12 kids and we fill 10 weight classes when everyone is healthy.”

The Bearcats also returned to action on Thursday as they traveled to Braxton County but results from that meet were not immediately available.
“We again have a tough season ahead of us, wrestling some of the top AA-A teams in the state in the next few weeks,” added Zebley.
