GRAFTON—Think you have the best chili around? If so, get ready to put you dish to the test while helping out some furry friends.
Prior to the boys’ Varsity basketball game on Friday, January 17, Grafton High School will be having a chili cook off in the Mary Battle Studio at 6:30 p.m.
School Counselor Taylor reported that the proceeds of this cook off will benefit the Taylor County Humane Society.
All students, staff, and Taylor County community members are welcome to enter chili in the cook off.
To help with the event, GHS and the school’s Youth Leadership Association will set up tables and power strips for cook off teams.
The school will provide serving cups for people to sample to vote for the best chili teams will have to bring their pots of chili and are welcome to decorate their tables.
The room will be available for setup at 5:30 p.m.
After setup, students and the public will be able to sample the chili and vote for the best chili.
Wyatt revealed that the team raising the most money will win, and the winner of the chili cook off will be announced during halftime of the basketball game that night.
