On Thursday the Cats made up a rainout at Bridgeport Country Club. Once again the Bearcats left no doubt as they defeated the Indians by 22 strokes. GHS arrived back at the clubhouse with a 170 and the Indians returned with a 192.

Miller was the low medalist with a two over par 38 while Kimbrew shot a 43. Bolyard shot his way to a 44 and Moore finished one stroke back with a 45.

“The boys played great this week,” said head golf coach Lucas McCall. “Some of them had bad days followed by good days, but that is the game of golf. We are looking good as we enter the second half of the season. We have played 8 teams in the big 10 and seen some good competition, but Big 10  (9/17) will we the true test. We will have a short break with Labor Day weekend, then non-stop September action almost every day,” he added.

On Wednesday the Cats will head to Mountainview (Morgantown & University) and return home on Thursday (Bridgeport & Buckhannon-Upshur).
