Grafton Gators continue to improve

GRAFTON—Before having the week off for the July 4th holiday, the Grafton Gators swim team traveled to the Clarksburg Country Club on June 25th to participate in a tri-team meet and then hosted FAST (Fairmont Area Swim Team) two days later on June 27th in Grafton.

In the first contest, the Gators tallied the most points in both the boys’ and girls’ races for a combined total of 292 points, besting Clarksburg Country Club’s 252 points and Lake Floyd’s 77 points.

Notching multiple first place victories for the Gators on the boys’ side were Dylan Stead, Isaac Young, Raymond Sarceno, Isaiah Lemon, Riley Humphries, Jonathon Maier, Layne England, and Zack Nibert. Also scoring at least one victory were Brock Lewis, Noah Dye, Gabriel Young, Jack Wilson, and Will Angus.

On the girls’ side, accumulating multiple first place victories were Katelynn Novisky, Savannah Lyons, Jordan Niggemyer, Leah Jackson, Julie Shay, Bella Lemon, Caroline Stead, and Riley Countryman. Also picking up a first-place finish were Jocelyn Countryman, Payton England, Alyssa Jackson, and Natalie Beltner.

In the June 27th contest against FAST at the Grafton City Pool, boys acquiring multiple victories were Isaac Young, Jonathon Maier, Zack Nibert, Adrian Joyce, Will Angus, Layne England, Luke Nibert, and Dylan Stead. On the girls’ side it was Alyssa Jackson, Julie Shay, Natalie Beltner, Caroline Stead, Bella Lemon, Brooklyn Haddix, Kevie Sipes, Riley Countryman, Katelyn Novisky, Jordan Niggemyer, Savanna Lyons, Leah Jackson, Payton England, Jocelyn Countryman, and Madelyn Countryman.

Also notching first place victories were Lauren Worth, Raymond Sarceno, Isaiah Lemon, Noah Dye, Brock Lewis, Gabriel Young, and Bryton Andrews.
