PRUNTYTOWN— The Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) Band has officially kicked off their spring fundraiser and is hoping they can count on the student body, staff and community to help them raise some much needed funding.
TCMS Band Director Josh Chiado shared that the band has begun offering TCMS gear, not just for those in the band or with a student in the band, but for anyone in the area that would like to represent and support the Taylor County Knights.
Through Fancloth, the band is offering short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts, along with pullovers, tank tops, hooded sweatshirts, jackets, crewneck sweatshirts, shorts, leggings, sweatpants and beanies.
If articles of clothing aren’t really what you’re looking for, the site also has Knights face coverings that are perfect to wear to sporting events or band concerts.
In addition, they are offering a patented stadium chair that dons the Knight logo, as well as a stadium blanket, a stainless-steel tumbler and a duffle bag to pack all your TCMS gear in.
Chiado revealed that he and his students set a goal of selling 200 items, and so far, have sold 86.
Since his arrival at Taylor County Middle School, Chiado has been working diligently to improve the school’s band program, enticing more and more students to give playing a musical instrument a try. With the growth of the program, becomes additional needs.
“The band is looking to purchase an equipment trailer this year or next, as well as new uniforms in the next few years,” Chiado disclosed. “This fundraiser will help contribute to that.”
