GHS track holds first home meet of the season

GRAFTON­—The Grafton High School track teams hosted their first track meet of the season last week at McKinney Field. The Cats hosted teams from Philip Barbour, Preston, Clay-Battelle, University High, South Harrison and Notre Dame.

The GHS boys team had an outstanding meet as they finished in second place as a team. The GHS girls ran hard but could only manage a sixth place finish.

In the individual events the top finisher for GHS was Peyton Weber as he threw to a first place finish in the shot put. The relay team of Hunter Taylor, Aaron Pander, Matthew Cather and Chris Hake finished in first place in the 4x400 relay.
