GHS drops heartbreaker to Lewis Minutemen

GRAFTON—The Grafton High School baseball team returned home on Thursday night, to host the Minutemen of Lewis County, in Big Ten Conference baseball.

The Cats would hold a 5—1 lead going into the last inning, but that would soon be erased as Lewis would score five in the top of the seventh to steal the win.

Chase Setler and Devin Vanscoy led the GHS offensive attack with two hits apiece.

The remaining GHS hits came off the bats of Garret Moats and Braeden Nose. The GHS runs were scored by Vanscoy (2), Moats, Setler and Nose.

Chase Setler started the game on the mound for GHS and pitched a solid game. Setler allowed only one run on two hits, walked one and struck out five in six and two-thirds innings. Vanscoy came in for relief as he allowed five runs on five hits, walked one and struck out one.

The Cats will be back in action tonight at home against Braxton County at 5:00 p.m.
