GHS boys tennis takes down Fairmont Senior Polar Bears


GRAFTON­—The Grafton High School tennis team returned to the friendly confines of the GHS tennis courts on Thursday night, as they played host to the Polar Bears of Fairmont Senior.

In the team competitions, the Bearcat boys defeated the Polar Bears 6—1, while the Lady Cats fell to the Bears in a close contest, 4—3.

Emilien Brazilier continued his winning ways, winning 8-1 at the number one position. Philip Rager would win 8-0 at the number three singles, while Tanner Taylor would win the number four match 8-0.

All three doubles teams for GHS would be victorious on the night as Brazilier and Marik Chambers won (8-1), Rager and Taylor won (8-0) and Aiden Kittle and Jaylen Poole won (8-3).

On the girls side, Brooklyn Teeple won at the number one spot 8-1. Teeple and Natalie Weber would win the number one doubles, and Jocelyn Countryman and Chloe Collins would win the number three doubles match 8-3.

The GHS tennis team will be back in action tonight when they travel to North Marion.
