GHS boys dominate Preston


KINGWOOD—The Grafton High School boys soccer team was back on the road last Tuesday night, as they headed to Kingwood, to face the Preston Knights.

The Cats scored three goals in the first half and added two more in the second as they cruised to a 5—1 victory.

The GHS goals were scored by Tanner Taylor, Stetson Sanders (3) and Zach Nestor with assists credited to Sanders, Marik Chambers and Kaden Moore.

Gabe Wolverton led the defense with four steals in the contest.

The remaining steals were recorded by Nestor, Joey Charlton, Gavin Wolverton, Chambers (3), Moore, Sanders and Conor Goldizen.

Alec Correia was in goal for GHS, and he was credited with two saves in the contest.

The Cats will be back in action tomorrow night as they play at North Marion. The boys game will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the girls game to follow at 8:00 p.m.
