MORGANTOWN—The Grafton High School baseball team played their last regular season game last week in Morgantown, when they faced Trinity.
The Cats had little trouble with Trinity, and they cruised to a 22—5 victory, to close the regular season.
Garrett Moats led the GHS offense with four hits in the game.
The remaining hits came off the bats of Dillon Williams (3), TJ Summers (2), Chase Setler (2), Garrett Williams (2), Devin Vanscoy (2), Noah Hodges (2), Braeden Nose and Chris Miller.
The GHS runs were scored by Eli Shumaker (3), Summers (3), G. Moats (4), Setler (3), G. Williams, Vanscoy, Nose (2) and Hodges (3).
The winning pitcher for GHS was Chris Miller, as he went four and a third innings.
Also seeing action on the hill was James Hoskins.
In a correction from an earlier story this season, it was Griffen Miller, not Chris Miller, that picked up a save for the Bearcats in relief of Garrett Moats.
The Bearcats will be back in action tonight, as they travel east to begin sectional play. The Cats will face the Indians of Berkeley Springs at 5:00 p.m.
