Get the Top Shelf experience at Tygart Lake

TAYLOR COUNTY—As summer begins to wind down as the chill of autumn can already be felt in the evening air, so too does the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation’s summer music series Music in the Park.

However, there is still time to head out to Tygart Lake for an afternoon of entertainment. The foundation would like to welcome you to another afternoon of music, as they welcome the ever-popular Top Shelf band.

The group has made a name for themselves playing in local and area venues, bringing a great blend of oldies, rock and country hits.

Top Shelf can be heard covering such classics as “Love Shack,” “Purple Rain” and “Some Kind of Wonderful” to “Pontoon,” “Seven Bridges Road” and “Tennessee Whiskey.”

To learn more about the band and get a little sampling of their sound, be sure to like and follow them on Facebook at

The concert will take place on the patio at Tygart Lake Lodge, overlooking the waters of the lake, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., this Sunday, August 21.

While the event is free and open to the public, donations are always welcomed and accepted by the foundation, as they continue to work to improve the state park for all who visit.

Donations may be mailed to the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation at 1240 Paul Malone Rd. Grafton, WV 26354.
