TAYLOR COUNTY—Fall sports are beginning to wind down, and many athletes are beginning to think about winter sports. Look no further, because the Grafton Wrestling Club has the sport for you!
Organizers revealed that wrestling is a great sport for all ages, offering each athlete the ability to wrestle on their terms. For those students looking to stay conditioned in the off-season, wrestling offers just that.
Registration with the Grafton Wrestling Club is going on now, and in anticipation of a large turnout, this year, the club will be holding their practices at Grafton High School to offer more room.
Although signups officially began on October 8, interested athletes will have plenty of opportunities to get signed up for this year’s wrestling season.
Make your way to the Message of Freedom Ministries Fellowship Hall, located right next door to Donald G. Ford Funeral Home on George Washington Highway, on Friday, October 12, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., to get your wrestlers signed up.
Can’t make it on the 12th, no worries. The club will be hosting sign ups on Oct 15-16 and Oct 18-19, as well.
All children ages 4-15 are welcomed to participate with the Grafton Youth Wrestling Club. To register, parents will need to bring with them a copy of their child’s birth certificate.
Registration is $50 for the first child, and $35 for each additional child signed up within a family.
For those children who have never wrestled before, the Grafton Wrestling Club allows them to participate for a week, and if the child is not a fan of the sport, the registration fee will be returned to the parent or guardian.
Get signed up and get ready to hit the mats this wrestling season!
