GCH to host annual spring health fair

GRAFTON—It’s that time again…time for Grafton City Hospital’s Spring Health Fair, which will be held two days only, Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, from 6:00-9:00 a.m.

An appointment is not necessary to participate in this semi-annual fair. Remember, these are fasting tests…so don’t eat or drink 12 hours prior to having your blood drawn. All tests will be forwarded to your home address and will be your responsibility to forward your results to your personal physician. There is no physician referral needed and the health fair is open to the public.

The cost of the blood analysis Executive Profile D, a total of 36 tests, is $30. This test checks for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, electrolyte balance, liver disease, kidney disease, anemia, thyroid function and other health needs. There are several additional single blood analysis tests available for an additional fee. For $15 men can have a PSA test completed. Also available for $15 is a Hemoglobin A-1C test, this is a blood analysis for diabetics. An Arthritis screen is also available for $10. A Vitamin D level test is available for $30.

All tests must be paid for at time of service with cash, check or credit card, as we will not bill insurances or Medicaid/Medicare during the Health Fair.

Grafton City Hospital is proud to be able to offer these minimally priced services to our community and encourages residents to participate. Anyone with questions can contact Nicholas M. Jachelski, Laboratory Department Manager, Violet Shaw, DON of Acute Care or Tammy Barcus, Director of Quality and Patient Safety at 304-265-0400.
