Frances Hart, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many was called home peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in Grafton, WV.
Frances was born May 29, 1929, in in Alma, West Virginia to parents Earl and Garnet Stubbs of Shirley, West Virginia.
She is preceded by her husband, Reverend Jack Hart; a sister, Wilma George; a brother Leo Stubbs; two daughters, Judith Dawn Hart and Penny Jo Hart; and one granddaughter, Madelyn Renee Hart.
Frances is survived by two sisters, Bea Doll & Mona Cumberledge, both of Tyler County and two brothers, Howard (Nelda) Stubbs and Jim (Joyce) Stubbs, also of Tyler County. Ms. Frances has two sons, Mike (Sharon) Hart, of West Milford, West Virginia, and Mark (Amy) Hart, of Tallahassee, Florida and three grandchildren, Olivia (Nate) Stoneburner, of Clearwater Beach, Florida, Alexis Hart of Jacksonville, Florida, and Austin Davis of Texas.
Frances was a member of the Blueville United Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia.
Frances had a passion for putting others needs before her own and had a wonderful sense of humor that would always make you laugh. She was a master at needle point and quilt projects and has made well over 100 quilts in her life for all that she knew would appreciate them. Her faith and her strength through God made her one the strongest woman that we had the privilege of calling Mom. We all know that she is sitting with our dad looking down on all of us keeping us safe.
The family will receive friends at Donald G. Ford Funeral Home, 950 George Washington Hwy, Grafton, West Virginia, on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., with the Reverend Joyce Hill (Frances’ niece) officiating.
A committal service will follow at Freeman-Coleman Cemetery in West Union, West Virginia, where our mother will be eternally laid to rest alongside her husband and two daughters.
