Having earned their spot in the semi-final game, the Sting Rays held on to their winning streak with another dominating display on the field, taking the 4-0 win against the Webster County Timberwolves.

Kayleigh Weaver and Jenna Smith combined with two goals each in the semi-final win.

With three wins, the Sting Rays advanced to championship play, vying for the Lorenzen Cup against the Barbour County Blue Lightening.

“Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the girls showed a lot of grit and determination throughout the day,” commented Sting Rays assistant Coach Andrew Moore.

Using that determination, the Taylor County ladies battled for the final victory, with goals from E. Moore, Lexi Mlinarcik and Wiles, to come out on top as champions with a final of 3-1.

“A special shout-out goes to Avery (Alexander) our goalie, as she had two shut out games and endured the conditions of the weather the whole game, with no break,” coach Moore shared.
