FLEMINGTON—The leaves have changed their colors and have started their peaceful descent from the trees and a chill has begun to fill the air, reminding residents that winter will soon make its way to the area.
Often, during this time of year, individuals shift their thinking toward the upcoming holiday season and begin looking forward to craft shows as a way to find the perfect locally handmade and homemade gift.
Residents will have to look no further, as Flemington Events and Festivals is proud to announce that they will be hosting a Craft and Vendor Show this Saturday, November 6.
The festivities are set to being at 9:00 a.m. and guests of the show will be treated to not only creative creations but tasty treats until 4:00 p.m.
“Be sure to come hungry, because we will be serving up soup beans and cornbread, along with hotdogs and corndogs,” noted Flemington Events and Festivals member Vicki Greathouse. “Food will be available for both eat in and take out.”
The craft show will feature something for everyone with confirmations from crafters and artisans offering different mediums of work, as well as some vendors from well-known companies.
“We have primitives, wreaths, woodworks, homemade dog treats, handcrafted jewelry and so much more,” commented Greathouse.
And not only will the show act as the perfect place for individuals to get an early start on their Christmas shopping, Flemington Events and Festivals will also be offering a raffle that will include various gift baskets.
“We have some great baskets for folks to bid on,” shared Greathouse. “We will have a wrapping basket to help prepare someone for their season of gift wrapping, as well as a fall basket, just to name a few. But don’t worry, there will be plenty more! You’ll just have to come to the craft show to find out what all will be there!”
She disclosed that during the day, one lucky winner will even claim a $100 Walmart gift card that will be raffled off.
All proceeds from the event will be used by Flemington Events and Festivals for this year’s Tree Lighting and Giveaway event.
Last year’s event saw the first-ever lighting of the town’s Christmas tree, something that many Flemington residents were happy to witness.
During the event, guests were treated to free hot chocolate, cider, cookies, candy and Christmas music, including live performances from local singers. In addition, folks to gathered around as the winners of various gift card drawings were announced.
It was surely an event for the record books, and Greathouse shared that they are hoping for another spectacular tree lighting this holiday season.
