FES to host fun, free Fall Fest

FLEMINGTON—Fall is here, and one local school will be holding a free, fun family event this weekend.

Flemington Elementary School will be holding their annual Fall Fest on Saturday, October 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

During the event, attendees will enjoy games, raffles, a cake walk, a haunted hallway, chili, cornbread, nachos and more.

There will also be a costume contest at noon, and the best boy, best girl, homemade and unique costumes will be chosen.

One of the highlights of the event will be the amazing raffle baskets that were put together by staff, students and parents.

Principal Melissa Lampinen expressed that the Parent Teacher Organization always does an amazing job planning the event.

“The community is also amazing, and we appreciate their continued support of the event every year,” commented Lampinen.

Money raised from the event will help fund field trips and other activities for students.

During last year’s Fall Fest, they had a great turnout and raised $2,400, that went toward field trips and the new pavilion outside.

So, if you’re not busy on Saturday, have your children put on their Halloween costumes and head out to Flemington Elementary School for a day of fun.
