Fairmont State creates the Fairmont State Varsity Club

FAIRMONT—Designed to promote and preserve friendships formed among the Fairmont State Athletics family, the Fairmont State University Foundation and the Fairmont State Department of Athletics have announced the creation of the “Varsity Club.”

The FSU Varsity Club is the university’s newest giving society and presents a way for student-athlete alumni to “Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, and Support the Future,” according to the university. The society is composed of former student-athletes, cheerleaders, managers, trainers, and coaches.

The purpose of the Varsity Club is to maintain and strengthen the lifelong bonds between its members and Fairmont State athletics, while also providing support to current and future student-athletes.

“This is an exceptional way to make a difference for current athletes while acknowledging your experiences and contributions as part of the Fighting Falcon family,” said Fairmont State Foundation President Julie Cryser. “It also provides a way for us to stay connected with you and for you to stay connected with Fairmont State Athletics.”

Another essential purpose of purchasing a Varsity Club membership is to directly support scholarships for student-athletes. Membership can be renewed annually and currently run from July through June of each year.

A $50 “General Membership” includes:

Varsity Club Vehicle Decal

Quarterly Fairmont State Athletics E-News

Sport Reunion Invitation

The experiences and traditions that come with being a part of Fairmont State Athletics are ones that stand the test of time. Whether you are a former Falcon or just want to support Fairmont State Athletics, you can feel certain that by making a small financial commitment, you will be part of something great.
