Dortha Arlene (Stone) Bowman

Dortha Arlene (Stone) Bowman, 78 of Sinclair Road, Moatsville, (Colebank Community) went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2017 at her residence with family by her side.

She was born July 26, 1938 in Newburg, daughter of the late Kenneth and Berley Bolyard Stone. Dortha loved fishing, camping, dancing and traveling. Dortha is survived by three sons, Michael Glenn Bowman, Tunnelton, Gary Allen Bowman and Linda, South Fork, CO, Harry Deward Bowman II and Anastasia of Moatsville; three daughters, Patricia Ann Miller, Moatsville, Diania Lynn Hovatter, VA, Rita Sue Bowman at home; nine grandchildren, Lonnie, Victoria and Dale, Chauna and Bobby, Lisa and Kevin, Wesley, Michael, Luke and Toni, Cassandra and Greg, and Clint; eight great grandchildren, Tyler, Shane, Daryl, Jacob, Kelli, Reese, Kenley and Oakley; one brother, Vernon Bud Stone and Bertie, Newburg; four sisters, Betty Bowman, Grafton, Anna Mae Cline and Adam, Fellowsville, Rosemary Winters, Fellowsville, and Yvonne Colebank, Tunnelton; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ray Bowman, Grafton, Ted Bowman and Ida, Grafton, Carol Hamilton and Sonny, Grafton, Shirley Pitcher, Morgantown, Delores Stone, Fellowsville , and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorotha was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Glenn Bowman in 2008, one grandson, Christopher Allen Bowman, one daughter-in-law, Connie Bowman; two son-in-laws, David Miller and Dennis Hovatter; one brother, Jerry Stone; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Harold Bowman, Frank Winters, Argle Colebank, Ronald Bowman, Pauline Bowman and Sheila Bowman.

Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 2:00-8:00 p.m., ­­­­­and from Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11 am, with Pastor Joey Ridenour officiating.
