GRAFTON—Grafton High School boys basketball players, Dylan Dinaldo and Austin Young, have been named to the 2016-2017 All-Big Ten Conference team.
Dinaldo was selected as a first team selection while Young was named to the second team.
This year for the Bearcats, Dinaldo played in 20 games, while scoring 392 points.
Dinaldo averaged a team high 19.6, while shooting an impressive 37 percent from the three point line.
He also shot 50 percent from inside the three point line making 72 of 144 attempts.
From the free throw line he was 89 for 109 for an average of 82 percent.
Austin Young also had an outstanding season, as he led the Cats with 434 points, while playing in all 23 games.
He also led the Cats in two point field goals with 84 (51 percent) and three point field goals with 60 (37 percent).
Young shot 77 percent from the free throw line with 86 makes on 111 attempts.
“It’s a great honor for both Dylan and Austin to receive recognition in a conference as deep and competitive as the Big Ten,” said head coach Mike Johnson.
“It’s a tribute to their hard work and dedication to the Bearcat Basketball Program. It has been a privilege to coach them the past two years and to see them grow as young men on and off the court,” he added.
Dinaldo and Young also served as team captains this year for the Bearcats.
