Debra Kay “Debbie” Welch

Debra Kay “Debbie” Welch, 63, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017, at home with her family by her side. 

She was born on June 22, 1953, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Goff and Nellie (Tirney) McKinney. 

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 46 and a half years survives, Jerry Lee Welch. 

In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by her two children: son, Lee Welch and wife, Marsha, of Flemington; daughter, Angela Zannino and companion, Joeby Phares, of Flemington; five grandchildren: Kaylee and Kortney Welch, and Brandon, Travis, and Anthony Zannino; two brothers and two sisters: Paul McKinney and wife, Kay, of Grafton, Tom McKinney and wife, Donnice, of Flemington, Madge Hennen, of Good Hope, and Annabelle Hostler, of Grafton; her mother-in-law, Betty Welch, of Flemington; two brothers-in-law: Chris Welch and wife, Jennifer, of Flemington, and Mark Welch and wife, Lisa, of Pipestem, WV; and her chocolate lab “Lacey”, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was a graduate of Flemington High School and worked as the office manager for Dr. Weinstein’s office for many years, and then later as the office manager for Medbrook Medical Associates.  She loved making stained glass, gardening, and working in her yard and pond.  Debbie also enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband Jerry.  She loved her family, especially her grand kids. 

Family and friends will be received at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Charles Jeffries presiding, visitors will be received that morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. 

Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
