David Lee Bell, 70, of Grafton, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at his residence.
He was born November 19, 1948, in Grafton, a son of the late William S. and Clara Bell Bolyard.
He is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Janet Starr Stevens Bell whom he married January 16, 1971.
David was in the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War and was a combat veteran. He worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Grafton City Hospital until his early retirement due to his illness. David was an avid WVU Fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Nicole Bell McDaniel and husband Bill, Angela Kay Bell and fiancé Josh all of Grafton; six grandchildren of which he loved dearly, Mark A. Watton, Kaymn M. Johns, Nicholas M. Watton, Johathan D. Watton, Kaylee Starr Johns and Lilliawna D. Hall; one brother, Larry P. Bell and wife Betty of GA; one sister, MaryAvaDelle Stemple and husband Charles of Thornton.
He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Stephanie Lee Bell, one infant grandson, David Allan Bell, one brother, William T. Bell
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Friday, July 5, 2019, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday July 5, 2019, with Doug Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery where Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WVA DAV Chapter 24, and their Auxiliaries, and the Honor Guard from Camp Dawson.
