Dance the night away, while helping to make a little girl’s dreams come true

GRAFTON—The USA National Karate Federation Championships will be hosting a fundraiser dance for fifth-eighth graders, on Saturday, April 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the St. Augustine Social Center.

There will be a $5 entry fee, and concession items will be available for additional costs. Entry will be through the side lower entrance of the social center. No backpacks, purses or bags of any kind will be permitted into the dance.

In addition, a parent’s or guardian’s phone number must be provided in case of an emergency, and there will also be no in and out privileges of any kind permitted. Chaperons will be heavily present throughout the duration of the dance.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Dragon’s Den National Karate Member, Rylee Jones.

Rylee will be competing on the 2017 USA NKF Championships and US Olympic Team Trials, which will be hosted in Greenville, South Carolina, July 20-23.

Joann Jones, Rylee’s mom, shared that Rylee competing this year will be extra special, as her birthday is on July 20.

“Who wouldn’t want to win a gold medal on karate’s largest stage, for a ‘kick butt’ birthday present,” exclaimed Jones.

Jones invites all fifth-eighth graders to come out and not only have a safe and fun time but also to show support for local youth.
