Daffodil display honors memory of planter

GRAFTON—Evelyn Turner from Turner Road, lived a life of dignity, integrity and goodness, on Wickwire Creek, near Grafton.
Every summer, she dug up and planted hundreds of Daffodil bulbs. In the fall, she planted those all around the farm, and along Turner Road.
She placed her initials in flowers, ET, on the upper meadow.  The beauty and glory of this display will only last for a couple of more weeks. I urge you to drive down and witness this gift.
Mrs.Turner, went back to Fairmont State College (1961) and finished a teaching degree that she started in Glenville, WV,  in 1928. She later became a teacher and principal at Haymond elementary school.
Her legacy as a great person lives on through her Daffodils, but mostly through the memories of her offspring, and many boys and girls who knew her. Truly, a woman worthy of good memories.
