City announced Thanksgiving garbage collection schedule

GRAFTON—With the upcoming holidays, normal routines will be altered, and much is the same for the City of Grafton trash pickup schedule.

The City of Grafton Public Works Department has released this year’s Thanksgiving refuse collection schedule and would like residents to take note of the changes.

The Public Works Department advises that garbage normally collected on Thursday, November 24 will be collected a day early on Wednesday, November 23.

Additionally, those residents who traditionally experienced Friday refuse collection will have alterations made, as well. Garbage set for pick up on Friday, November 25 will now be gathered on Monday, November 28.

Residents are reminded that city code states that garbage is not to be placed out days in advance and could result in a ticket and fine. All refuse is to be place in approved containers and put out no sooner than the night before pickup.

The City of Grafton Public Works Department would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. If there are any questions, please call the department at 304-265-1234.
